LOCK ALERT

From the very beginning of the season we knew this was going to be Peyton Manning’s year. He came out and put a whooping on the Ravens by tying the record for most touchdown passes in a game. Manning went on to have the best regular season by a quarterback in NFL history, and took home another MVP award. This is his season. He’s been stellar in the playoffs to this point and has barely been touched. I believe that the Broncos are the better team overall, but there’s no doubt in my mind that they will get assistance from the referees that will be wearing the Roger Goodell earpiece. The league wants to be a passing league. It wants it’s heroes to go out on top with some kind of record in the books. Last year was Ray Lewis’ swan song. This year we witnessed Peyton’s. There’s no way that Goodell allows the face of football to lose on the biggest stage after the season that he had. Look for many missed holding calls, and a questionable illegal contact/pass interference call or two against the Seahawks in this one. I really hope it doesn’t turn out that way, but the way these games have been officiated to this point it wouldn’t surprise me if nothing’s changed. For the record, I hate Pete Carroll, when he took over as the Patriots head coach after Bill Parcells left, he did everything he could to ruin what Parcells had created. Thankfully the Pats canned his ass for Belichick, and the rest is history. As for the rest of the Seahawks, I have nothing against Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, or anyone on the offense for that matter. But, when you have that many players suspended on the defensive side of the football, it’s no better than steroids in baseball, or whatever the hell Lance Armstrong did to his blood in cycling. It’s cheating, they were caught, but it’s been the most swept under the rug story of this Seahawks run. Here’s to having a fun game to watch tonight, as we are so due for a blowout (Hasn’t been a blowout in the Super Bowl since 2003 Oakland and Tampa Bay).

Denver 31 Seattle 20
