Upon Further Review... Googlebook

After my last laptop shit the bed with that bullshit blue heaven like screen I was too pissed off and in need of a new one I just went on Amazon and bought whatever was cheap and seemed good without looking into it much. Basically I bought a laptop while on tilt which typically that backfires miserably. Even when it came in the mail I was still unaware it had a Google operating system. I opened it was rather thrown off but I have come to love it.

Imagine having just about all the benefits of a Mac but for one-tenth of the price. Like the Mac there are no big virus threats like there are on Windows. There are thousands of neat apps that integrate with the web browser Google Chrome. For instance one of my favorite ones is when you go on the Netflix site and look at the ratings for a movie it gives you not just their rating but also IMDB’s and Rotten Tomatoes. You can pull and download pictures or videos off of the internet with complete ease and then edit them if you should choose. This operating system flat out flies. You can fully reboot in about fifteen seconds. Not to mention how smart the spell checking system is. If you are typing something about Senators defenseman Eric Karlsson and spell it like that it corrects it to Erik. Name me something else that will correctly change Eric to Erik. I don’t know how it works but it understands what you are trying to say and gives you recommendations based off of that and it is much smarter than I am.

The one thing they need to work out is the lack of iPhone integration. I get it you have your stupid Google phone but nobody wants that thing we normal humans have iPhones. You should have the ability to sync directly to the computer. You can work the iCloud with ease and backup pictures and videos on Google Drive but you can’t transfer music unless you have your old computer with iTunes on it. The lack of iTunes might be looked at as a really bad thing but I have not missed it one bit. I love life without iTunes and their stupid ugly new look.

But the best part about this laptop is Google Drive. Everything you download saves to Google’s much easier to use version of the iCloud. So you don’t take up any space on your hard drive for dumb shit. As I type this it saves. Literally with every stroke of a key it is saving. From there I can open and edit on my iPhone or anywhere I can access Google Drive. If I want to finish typing this later on my iPhone I can.

All in all I am thrilled to have accidentally purchased a Google laptop and while they need to work out a few minor things they are really onto something. If you are in the market really consider getting yourself one of these machines before the prices skyrocket.
