Christmas Eve
47 Ronin
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
47 Ronin is what I would call Keanu Reeves’ return to movies. Yes he has been in movies since The Day The Earth Stood Still (2008) but no one would be able to name them. I don’t think that I watch this one on purpose, but he must have come into some money if this is releasing around Christmas. As for Walter Mitty, I’m extremely excited. It’s getting comparisons to being as compelling as Forrest Gump. I really enjoy Ben Stiller as an actor. His movies may not be the best but he plays whatever character he is cast as perfectly. High hopes for this one.
Christmas Day
Justin Bieber: Believe
Lone Survivor
Grudge Match
The Wolf of Wall Street
Nothing to say about the Bieber movie except for the fact that it is a genius time for a money grab.Lone Survivor could be good and grab some veteran coin at the box office as it features bad asses like Mark Wahlberg and Taylor Kitsch as Navy Seals kicking al-Qaeda’s ass. Speaking of kicking ass, we are sure to get some old guy fights and old guy jokes when Rocky and Raging Bull square off in Grudge Match. Finally we have one that could be a multiple Oscar winner. Leo DiCaprio leads a star filled cast in a Marty Scorsese flick involving the American Dream of making lots of dough on Wall Street.
Watch from Home
24 Hours of A Christmas Story
Prisoners
I don’t need to explain the first one. It’s mandatory at my house to be watching it while it’s on. As for Prisoners, I highly enjoyed it. Great acting by the entire cast, even the characters that didn’t have major roles were perfect. Not to give too much away, but I feel like the ending could have been much better. Regardless a good movie to watch when you are home on Christmas night and you are sick of all the kiddy nonsense.
