This Week In Media 8/6/13
Jennifer Aniston as
a stripper and Jason Sudekis being Jason Sudekis? I’m in. Wait,
there’s also a new Pixar movie and Larry David has a TV movie
coming out on Saturday? Looks like I’m doing a whole lot of nothing
this weekend.
In Theaters
We're The Millers
Planes
Esylum
We’re the Millers has the potential to be the best movie of the summer. Jason Sudekis might be the funniest guy in movies right now. We also get to see the ageless wonder Jennifer Aniston as a stripper… yes please. As for Planes, we get a movie that seems to be along the lines of Disney’s Cars. If that’s the case then we may have another winner. It is a Pixar movie, so expectations should be high. Lastly this week we get the enigma that is Esylum. I’m really not sure what to make of this one. Matt Damon and Jodie Foster trying to make the world equal for everyone? I guess I’ll wait for it to show up on FX next summer. There’s also a Percy Jackson movie that no one is going to see, so why bother linking a clip or write about it. You’re welcome.
OnDemand/Queue Boosters
Clear History
Zero Dark Thirty
Just fast forward to the end of ZD30 to see the cool reenactment of the Osama bin Laden hunt. As for Clear History, it premieres on HBO on Sunday night. I can’t really tell you what it’s about, but it looks fun with big name stars and Larry David running the show.
