This Week In Media 5/28/13
Will Smith returns to the big screen for the first time since Men in Black 3 and just the 2nd time since 2008. We also get a star-studded cast in a movie about magic. And in music Alice in Chains releases its 5th studio album. Not to mention one of the best comedies in television history returned with a full season to Netflix.

After Earth
Surprise, Surprise, Will Smith does another futuristic movie that is safely rated PG-13. I don’t need to see him in a future version of the Pursuit of happiness. Passing on this one.
Now You See Me
So to say this movie looks pretty damn good would be an understatement. Michael Caine, Isla Fisher, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson, James Franco’s brother, Mark Zuckerberg 2.0 and the chick from Inglorious Basterds round out a cast of stars in this movie where illusionists rob banks and give money to people. The only major issue I may have with this film is that it is rated PG-13. I feel the rating may limit the film and could have been done to sell more tickets. Looks like I’m going to have to watch to find out.
The Kings of Summer
I actually didn’t hear about this movie until I was researching for TWIM. It’s Independent comedy that has been selected for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, and it has Nick Offerman. Sold!
