Big week. Fast 6 and The Hangover 3 both open this week, two movies everyone should be excited for. I now I am. The only downfall to going on vacation for the Speed Street Festival and Coke 600 is that I most likely won’t get to see Fast 6 opening weekend.

Fast and Furious 6

So I have a strange feeling you aren’t going to believe what I am about to say but you can look it up for yourself if you would like. Rotten Tomatoes Top Critics have this movie currently at 88%. Is this really going to be a good movie or did the critics finally figure out what these movies are? I going to assume the later. Regardless this movie is going to be AWESOME. I am giddy just thinking about it. The gang is back and somehow so is the dead Michelle Rodriguez. Also the Rock has joined the gang to take down Owen Shaw the leader of a group specializing in vehicular warfare, whatever that is. Except great car chase/race scenes and a lot of great special effects.

The Hangover 3

A lot of people didn’t like the second one but I can’t figure out why. Yes it was not as good as the first one but how could it be? You can’t take the same idea, a simple one at that, and expect it to be better. For what it was, it was great as this one will be. I could watch 1,000 road trip movies with Zach Galifianakis toss in Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper I’m in for at least 2,000 more of these.

Epic

So as good as 88% on Rotten Tomatoes is for Fast 6, Epic is currently sitting at 100%. This animated flick follows a young teenager into the forest where a battle between good and bad is about to take place.

Music

There are a couple albums coming out today from bands I have heard of but nothing to get excited about. Nothing nearly as exciting as Stone Temple Pilots replacing lead singer Scott Weiland with Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, unless you like Daft Punk or annoying music like that. There is no replacing Scott Weiland but this sounds pretty good. I want more.

Video Games

Resident Evil Revelations 3

Why are they still making these games? More importantly who are the people that are buying them? Because if they did not make money they wouldn’t crank out, what feels like 37 new Resident Evil games a year right? The poor man’s version of this is the Scary Movie franchise. Also on this level is the video game Dynasty Warriors even though I am currently an owner and love the games. I would never buy every one I buy one random one every couple of years. I am not the reason they are still in business although I could not tell you what that reason is.

Carolla

Have any regular ACS listeners noticed how Dr. Bruce is a bigger and bigger douche everytime he comes on? He thinks what he is talking about is so incredibly important. When he is on he seems to think it is his show. It would appear they agree over there because he has been on less and less lately.

Victim

Weird ass movie. If you watched and enjoyed Arena then check this out. It’s the other movie the original writers had made. A guy gets kidnapped so a doctor can turn him into a woman. It is a rather creepy movie in general but if you like weird darker movies you will like this. One thing it had was that move in every other movie when the guy gets kidnapped and they bring him food for the first time he acts like a tough guy and boots the tray across the room. I get it you don’t want to give up in your mind but why not get all the energy you can for a potential break-out?

The Vicious Kind

Couple Adam Scott movies to close this week out. First The Vicious Kind, is a dark story about Adam Scott and his family that he doesn’t see all that often. Watch it he is especially good. But Brittany Snow is pleasant to look at and JK Simmons is always great.

Friends With Kids

This movie reminded me a lot of The Breakup which is kind of weird since there is no breakup. Adam Scott and his friend decide to have a kid while they are still young and then try and find their soulmate. It’s a bit of a chick flick but it’s funny too.
