Hey now… not a bad week last week for a change. The only pick I lost was obviously my “Best Bet” but 4-0 with my locks and 1-0 with my teaser, maybe things are starting to turn. This is going to be a huge week about momentum, so let’s get to it before it swings against me again.

Miami -3 @ Duke

I know Duke Johnson is out but last week was a letdown game after losing the big one to FSU. This week it’s the Duke Blue Devils. Three points should be considered an insult.

Oregon State +13.5 @ Arizona State

I love Oregon State this week for the exact same reason as Miami. They lost their big chance and mentally weren’t prepared for the following week. We see this happen all the time in football and that team almost always bounces back in that second game after a big loss. Not to mention the Beavers have scored 51, 34, 52, and 49 points in their road games; all wins. Also Arizona State has to play @ UCLA next week. They could easily knock themselves out of the Pac 12 title hunt.

Auburn -4 vs Georgia

Georgia is too banged up to cover this. They should make it a game, but Auburn is no joke. They are a legit threat to Alabama, I just hope they don’t look past Aaron Murray and the Bulldogs, I’m not sure how you could though.

Utah +25 @ Oregon

Another momentum play. Remember how Miami and Oregon State lost bad games the week after losing the big one? I’m not saying that Utah is going to beat Oregon on their home turf, but with 25 points I really like the one team that beat Stanford.

Mississippi State +25.5 vs Alabama

Okay, so all of these are momentum plays, it may be my only hope of salvaging a decent final record. While I don’t think Alabama thought of LSU as a legitimate threat to them, I think they do believe their meeting with Auburn is. Playing at in state rival Auburn in the Iron Bowl with a trip to the SEC Championship on the line, is something anyone would be looking forward to. Take the 25.5 points and thank me later.

That loss to Michigan State two weeks ago really hurt the Wolverines last week against the Cornhuskers. Staying with the pattern they are going to bounce back in a big way against a team that has lost five straight games and plays routinely plays a quarterback at the receiver position.

USC is flying high and coming home after a 31-14 win @ Oregon State and a 62-28 win @ California. Stanford is obviously coming off that big win over Oregon. USC should burst out of the gates. While Stanford should start off a big sluggish. But Stanford is far superior than this USC team and won’t stay down for long…
