2013 Power Rankings Week 3
I can't believe we are already 12.5% done with the season. Time flies when you're having fun losing money because of the effing Bears. Despite me picking them as the team I hate this year, they make a big jump in
the power rankings unfortunately so do the Steelers, but not in a good way.
Rank | Team | Previous Rank | Up/Down | Record | Against The Spread | Next Opponent | The Word |
1 | Seahawks | 4 | 3 | 2-0 | 2-0 | vs Jacksonville | To be the best, you need to beat the best. |
2 | Broncos | 2 | 0 | 2-0 | 2-0 | vs Denver | Yawn, too easy. If they stay healthy they are coasting to a 1 seed in the AFC. |
3 | 49ers | 1 | -2 | 1-1 | 1-1 | vs Indianapolis | If the 49ers aren't winning in Seattle, no one is winning in Seattle. |
4 | Packers | 6 | 2 | 1-1 | 1-1 | at Cincinnati | Aaron Rodgers is good. |
5 | Texans | 5 | 0 | 2-0 | 0-2 | at Baltimore | A win is a win. |
6 | Saints | 8 | 2 | 2-0 | 1-1 | vs Arizona | Very flukey game. Felt as though the Saints were up big all game. |
7 | Falcons | 7 | 0 | 1-1 | 0-1-1 | at Miami | Careless at the end of the game. The Falcons went on cruise control. |
8 | Patriots | 3 | -5 | 2-0 | 0-2 | vs Tampa Bay | Who's getting hurt this week? 2-0 is 2-0 though. |
9 | Bengals | 13 | 4 | 1-1 | 1-0-1 | vs Green Bay | Better ugly than good? 2-0 is 2-0 |
10 | Cowboys | 10 | 0 | 1-1 | 2-0 | vs St. Louis | Should have been up by more at the half. That's what happens when you don't capitalize on the road. |
11 | Bears | 19 | 8 | 2-0 | 0-1-1 | at Pittsburgh | Nope, I wasn't wrong. Fuck the Bears. |
12 | Dolphins | 15 | 3 | 2-0 | 2-0 | vs Atlanta | Ryan Tannehill may be making the leap before our eyes with a sneaky good defense backing him up. |
13 | Chiefs | 21 | 8 | 2-0 | 1-1 | at Philadelphia | The Andy Reid era is looking good. |
14 | Eagles | 20 | 6 | 1-1 | 1-1 | vs Kansas City | You have to play defense at some point right? |
15 | Colts | 12 | -3 | 1-1 | 0-2 | at San Francisco | OVER-RATED |
16 | Redskins | 9 | -7 | 0-2 | 0-2 | vs Detroit | RG3 looks great against the Packer's backups |
17 | Giants | 14 | -3 | 0-2 | 0-2 | at Carolina | Luckily you play in the NFC East. |
18 | Titans | 26 | 8 | 1-1 | 2-0 | vs San Diego | A win and an OT game at the defending division champs? The Titans are turning heads. |
19 | Chargers | 22 | 3 | 1-1 | 2-0 | at Tennessee | Maybe they aren't as bad as we thought? |
20 | Ravens | 23 | 3 | 1-1 | 1-1 | vs Houston | Yikes that was a close one in a home opener against the Browns. |
21 | Lions | 17 | -4 | 1-1 | 1-1 | at Washington | Same old Lions. |
22 | Steelers | 11 | -11 | 0-2 | 0-2 | vs Chicago | Totally misjudged the Steelers this year. |
23 | Rams | 27 | 4 | 1-1 | 0-1-1 | at Dallas | They came back to force a push against the Falcons and made me tear up my pick-5 card. |
24 | Vikings | 16 | -8 | 0-2 | 1-1 | vs Cleveland | What a garbage cover this was, the Vikings are trash. |
25 | Cardinals | 25 | 0 | 1-1 | 2-0 | at New Orleans | Carson can still sling it. |
26 | Bills | 29 | 3 | 1-1 | 2-0 | at N.Y. Jets | EJ Manuel out to prove why he was the 1st QB off of the board this year. |
27 | Raiders | 32 | 5 | 1-1 | 2-0 | at Denver | RAIDERS WIN, RAIDERS WIN! |
28 | Panthers | 18 | -10 | 0-2 | 0-2 | vs N.Y. Giants | O/U 2.5 weeks left for Ron Rivera. (-1 from last week) |
29 | Jets | 31 | 2 | 1-1 | 2-0 | vs Buffalo | Almost doesn't count in the NFL. |
30 | Browns | 28 | -2 | 0-2 | 0-2 | at Minnesota | The Brian Hoyer Error begins. |
31 | Buccaneers | 24 | -7 | 0-2 | 1-1 | at New England | It took a lightning storm to control Drew Brees and they still lost. |
32 | Jaguars | 30 | -2 | 0-2 | 0-2 | at Seattle | Is there anything funnier than Orlando CBS apologizing to their fans that they have to carry this shit teams road games all season? |
AP3
Philadelphia -3.5 over Kansas City
Too many people are jumping on this Kansas City bandwagon too quickly. Remember it's still Alex Smith over there. This is their first true test of the season with Andy Reid going back home to Philadelphia. The Eagles can score a lot of points. Conversely, they can't stop anyone either. Regardless if it's going to be a shootout, I'm taking the fast-paced home team on a short week.

Upset Special
If there was one game I had pegged as a Chiefs win this year it was this one. Too many new pieces and faces in Philly to be truly consistent, while Andy Reid should have at least some idea of how to attack that defense. The Chiefs are the far superior team, and don't forget AP3 that Philly bandwagon is plenty full as well.
