This Week In Media 10/1/13

Image description

After all that bitching that there is nothing going on, I instantly eat my words this week. Not only is there a movie with Oscar implications opening this week, but there is just too much damn new TV going on. And for nerds we get an official movie announcement that has been a long time coming.

In Theaters

Gravity

Runner Runner

A.C.O.D.

Personally, I feel that Gravity is going to be the worst of the 3 movies. I just don’t get why everyone is all about it. Well actually I do because it’s George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. But other than that, I’m not impressed. I am intrigued however by Runner Runner. Ben’s first flick since Argo and he’s paired with sneaking good actor/just had another album released Justin Timberlake. Which by the way, is Justin Timberlake the greatest musical artist/actor of all time? I’m gonna have to do more research on this, but he is top 3 if not the best. Anyway, Runner Runner looks great and I think it could have Oscar potential because Ben really hasn’t missed since Gigli (sorry I had to). As for A.C.O.D., we get a comedy with Adam Scott, Amy Poehler, Ken Howard, and Jane Lynch. It can’t fail.

OnDemand/TV

I’m sure MLZ has something planned for Breaking Bad, so I won’t even touch it since a. I haven’t seen the finale, and b. I’m playing catchup on that show. Fortunately I’ve got all kinds of new shit that I’m trying to get a grasp of.

New shows on TV that I’ve watched:

The Blacklist

Hostages

Eastbound and Down

Dads

Moms

Brooklyn 99

The Goldbergs

Modern Family

South Park

Welcome to the Family

The Crazy Ones

Survivor

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

The League

Fortunately I can cross off The Goldbergsand Momssince they probably won’t make it, however I still need to watch:

Homeland

The New Michael J. Fox Show

Key and Peele

Marvel’s Agents of Shield

So needless to say I’ve got some shit to do. Besides the two I mentioned above, I think everything looks great which is awful since we’ve got American Horror Story and The Walking Dead starting up soon.

Music

Justin Timberlake 20/20 The Experience 2/2

The man is on fire. But hey Britney Spears is way better off right?

Holy Shit

So Legendary Pictures announced today that World of WarCraft the movie will officially hit theaters on 12/18/2015. And let the nerd rage begin.
