This Week In Media 3/19/13
The movies in theaters are starting to pick up as we approach blockbuster season. We also get another installment of a popular video game, and possibly the worst movie on paper of all time. And away we go..
In Theaters
Olympus Has Fallen
If going to the movies wasn't so damn inconvenient, I would be definitely going to see this one. The White House gets captured by terrorists and Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart and Gerard Butler are involved, thats me. It has awesome bad movie written all over it.
The Croods
Dreamworks has roped me in with a couple funny lines in the trailer. I just hope that those aren't the only funny lines in the movie.
Admission
Something Something College. Who cares it's Paul Rudd and Tina Fey. High hopes for this one when it hits Neflix Instant.
InAPPropriate Comedy
Quick name the four worst actors on earth right now. That's right, Adrien Brody, Rob Schneider, Michelle Rodriguez and Lindsay Lohan are in the same movie. Yuck. This has potential to be the worst movie of all time.
On DVD/Netflix Queue Boosters
Zero Dark Thirty
The Hobbit
Two films that were stacked with Oscar nominations that didn't come away with many wins. 8 Oscar nominations combined, 1 win.
Parks and Recreation
I have been putting this show off for a long time. To quote MLZ, it's a “Poor Man's The Office.” Yes the show is very similar to The Office in format, but the show itself is a 10. with 22 minute episodes, you can watch ½ a season in one sitting.
Video Games
Gears of War: Judgement
Any time a major video game series releases a new game, it is a big deal. Unfortunately I no longer own an Xbox. These games that are exclusive to systems need to cut the shit. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to play Halo on PS3, just like Xbox should get a chance to play God of War.
