Game 1 Thursday 7pm

The Senators really helped their own cause Sunday. They could have ended up with the Penguins in round 1 with a loss. Instead they get the Habs who went 4-6 in their last 10 while fighting for the #2 seed and division title with rival Bruins. Luckily for the Habs the Bruins out-sucked them losing both of their final two games when they only needed to win one to grab the division. Instead the Habs get the nod and draw the Sens.

Ottawa has played exactly 500 hockey since March 21st. Craig Anderson is only 4-5 since he has returned. But the Habs finished the season only winning four of their last ten. It’s safe to say neither team is playing as well as they would like to be entering the playoffs.

The Bet:

Montreal -155 to win the series

The Canadiens just have too much for the Sens beat four times in seven games. Their defense is superior and they have Carey Price who can match any output from Anderson.

Bonus Bet:

Montreal wins in 7 games +350

This is going to be a long, low scoring series. If you could bet which series would have a triple overtime game first, I would bet anything on it being this one. There might not be a game with more than five goals scored. In fact I feel like even five is too high.

In other words, bet the under in every game and take Montreal to win the series. If you’re feeling frisky throw a couple bucks on the Habs in 7 because it should be a battle.
