Game 1 Wednesday 8pm NBC

Finally the Stanley Cup Finals is upon us. The matchup features the two teams that dominated the first half of the regular season. The Blackhawks jumped out to a record start while the Bruins looked an awful lot like they do now. Both teams faded before reaching the playoffs only to find that level of play once again.

We won’t quite know just how good the Bruins are going to be this series until tonights game gets started. The B’s could steamroll the Blackhawks if Chicago comes out like Pittsburgh did. But the Blackhawks are bigger and stronger than the Penguins. They also have more experienced leaders that won’t let their team go down that easily. As good as the Bruins have been they are more than capable of going ice cold all of a sudden.

While the B’s have played some exceptional hockey lately they have also gotten exceptionally lucky at times. The luck runs out this series but their size and strength will get them to a Game 7 but Chicago is big and strong enough to hang with the Bruins and they are fast enough to skate around them.

Bruins fans seem like they expect to steamroll this team like they did Pittsburgh. After four games in which they got all the breaks and all the bounces they are diue to come back down to earth.
