2013 MLB Hall of Fame Vote

2013 MLB Hall Of Fame Vote

For just the eighth time nobody will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. But there's several that I think should have. Let's take a look.

For the record, I agree that they shouldn't have to put somebody in just for the sake of it. But possibly the worst group of people on the planet is the BBWAA. Just about all of them are a bunch of nerds that take baseball far too seriously and whine about how the games been tainted. Or about how somebody is a Hall of Famer but not a first ballot kind of guy. Either he's in or he's out you pieces of shit. There's no tiers in the Hall of Fame everyone is on the same level there. They all made it. I sort of wonder if they act like such stuck up asses because they've lost their mind given the long period of time you would need to cover the most boring major sport.

Every year now we are going to have to hear about the steroid guys and should they get in. The answer is obviously yes. The only people that are still saying no, are the BBWAA. Because they compromised the sanctity of the game, aka they boosted their stats so the nerds are mad. That's the only explanation. It's not like Barry Bonds is going to get into the HOF and then magically we will all forget about he has "allegedly" done steroids. There's a better chance we forget baseball existed before we forget that Barry Bonds did roids. Tangent but have you seen him lately? He looks like 1980's Barry Bonds, minus the swollen head.

McGwire and Sosa helped save baseball. I'm not sure either will ever eventually get in. Despite all the memories they created. Despite being the best of that time. Despite it being largely believed that everyone took steroids in that era, yet they stood atop them all. They don't deserve to get in?

McGwire, Sosa, Bagwell, Piazza, Morris, Schilling, Clemens, and Bonds are 100% in, in my book. Meanwhile you could really make a case for Biggio, who ended up being the top vote getter this time around. He accumulated some big time numbers but he was never really considered a stud. You were far more worried about Bagwell. Biggio was dangerous but I'm not totally sold on him being a Hall of Famer. I do believe he will get in eventually but if I had a vote I'd have to think long and hard about whether to put him in...that's what she said.

The BBWAA needs to get their heads out of their asses and do what's right. Stop making a production of it. You guys are acting like Ed Hoculi. The games a sidenote, he's the nights entertainment. You aren't the gatekeeper of heaven and hell. You simply are deemed knowledgeable enough, in the game of baseball, to be able to think back and ask yourself, "How good was this guy?". It should be a gut reaction. Anytime you have to think about it, he shouldn't get in.
